§ 103-1. Purpose.

This chapter is enacted pursuant to Article 16 of the Town Law to further the purposes set forth therein, including but not limited to the following:

A. 

Lessen congestion in the streets.

B. 

Secure safety from fire, etc.

C. 

Provide for the health and the general welfare.

D. 

Provide adequate light and air.

E. 

Prevent overcrowding of land.

F. 

Facilitate adequate provision of transportation, water, sewerage, schools and parks.

G. 

Prescribe penalties for the violation of its provisions.
