§ 103-29. Purpose and intent.

A.
The general purpose of this business district is to provide for areas in the Town of Oneonta for local business and heavier commercial uses separate from those uses which are primarily oriented toward the highway traveler.

B.
Since there may be cases where residential uses begun prior to the enactment of this Code may exist in a General Business District, the Planning Board shall allow development to take place with specific attention to the effect that any change would have on the character and quality of residential areas. Changes of use from residential to business shall be permitted but they shall require a site plan review.
